Each pack contains 2 nasal sprays (2 single-dose units).

NYXOID® nasal spray is designed as an emergency rescue treatment only; the user must get emergency medical attention as soon as possible before using NYXOID®.1

NYXOID® nasal spray should be carried by anyone at risk of overdosing on an opioid, or witnessing an opioid overdose.1 Carers such as close family or friends should know where to find NYXOID® in case of emergency.

What is naloxone?

NYXOID® nasal spray contains naloxone, which temporarily reverses the effect of opioid drugs.1 Naloxone works by displacing opioid molecules from their receptors in the body and brain.

The Australian Government is investing in a pilot program available in NSW, WA and SA to make naloxone available free to people who may experience, or witness, an opioid overdose. More information about this pilot can be found here.
